Take a good picture of the building (no Polaroids please). A cloudy day is the best because you don't want strong contrasts. If it is sunny, try to arrive at a time when the sun will be at your back. If you can't get the whole building in one shot, take a straight-on of the left side, move to the right and take another straight-on leaving a little overlap. We will put them together for the rendering. If possible, use the 55mm setting. This way there will be no dimensional distortion in the picture and it will be easier to work with. |

Draw a quick sketch of the building. Take some preliminary measurements and note any unusual aspects of the mounting surface. Show where the awnings will be mounted, taking in account the heights, projections, and even city codes. Note any changes to the building that are included in your customer's plans, like trim color, removing existing signs, siding, and new windows or doors. In this way you can show them the complete project as a whole. |

With the picture, sketch and data from the awning information form, we will create a rendering showing the completed project. 2 printouts will be sent to you along with the proposal. Keep in mind that our experienced design team will give all the help and ideas needed for your project. So specifics are not always needed. After presenting the rendering to the customer, they might want changes. Fill out the rendering change form and note changes right on the rendering. Send or fax and we will make the changes. |
